revenge is a dish best served cold
When an angry and deluded mob conspired to prevent a democratically-elected president from displacing an aspiring dictator, lots of right-thinking Americans decided that they didn't like what the mob and their organizers did, and they tried to hold them all to account. Twitter was abuzz with the manhunt, and web sites began popping up, sharing information about the perpetrators. Some of these sites were very good indeed. But one web site attempted to keep up with them all, and that was detrumpify.org, our first site. We did a fair job collating data collected by other J6 researchers, and we went further, indexing the malefactors who had been identified much earlier by countless anti-fascist researchers, many of whom later were discovered to have been present at the attack on the Capitol. Our own research resulted in the exposure of several previously-unreported Proud Boys and J6ers.
In early 2022, the webmaster for the jan6attack.com and jan6archive.com sites needed to step down to take care of family, so we stepped up. It was around this time that one of Trump's empty-headed bootlickers in Congress complained about gazpacho police,
and so we found inspiration for naming our overall site portfolio.
still here, bitches!
Due to the efforts of federal agents, prosecutors and private citizens, lots of people went to jail for J6 offenses great and small. But others avoided prosecution, including, most notably, Donald Trump. Biden's Justice Department lacked the will to do what had to be done, and Trump returned to the White House. The January 6th convicts were pardoned, the press releases and charging documents about their prosecution were memory-holed, the ongoing cases were dismissed, and the insurrectionists were placed in charge of the FBI and Justice Department, where Trump loyalists are replacing those who are committed to justice and the rule of law. It's been a grievous setback.
Many January 6th-related websites have now disappeared or taken their content offline, and we thank them along with the research community in general for their dedication. We have greatly reduced our online offerings in order to cut costs, but we're still here!
